Walk. Eat. Sleep. Repeat!

Today was day 28 of my new life pattern.  I intentionally made this one a shorter day so I could visit the Monasterio de Samos here in Samos.  I believe it is one of the oldest and largest monasteries in Spain.  Their stamp is certainly larger than most!  The tour was amazing and if I understood Spanish it would have been even more informative.  Still, it was fun and I plan to attend their evening mass tonight.

The path today was up and down hills as I continued to move to the lower valley.  New, 1-week pilgrims are joining the march to Santiago.  Tomorrow, I expect many more to join us as they have to walk at least 100KMs.

I miss my Camino family as we spread out more and more.  Some are taking rest days and others hurry on to meet walking partners who are coming just to finish with their loved ones.  Hopefully I can reconnect with a few folks before we get to Santiago.  I am curious to hear what others are learning on their personal pilgrimages.  Either way, I plan on hanging out on June 20th to welcome and congratulate pilgrims.

Tomorrow will be another early start for me as I have some distance to make up.  I am now limiting myself to a max of 6 stamps per day so I can finish with only 5 credentials. Yes, I have gotten caught up in the stamp collecting.  They are fun memories!

  2. Hi Tim. I’m so glad you took the trip to visit Samos. What a beautiful church and monastery. A life-long memory. I now have a broader and more positive image of white robes with pointed hats. :). Al
