Long and not so winding road

Today was the first day of the long walk across the Spanish plains.  Luckily, the rain in Spain stayed away from the plains!  With the Camino running parallel to the main highway, there isn’t a lot to see.

There was one delightful section that ran next to a river where I met Ivy from Taiwan and we had a great conversation.

Tomorrow will be more of the same, the path that is rumored to be one of the oldest Roman roads in Spain.  I have three more days of the central plains and then another set of mountains to climb.

Still, it is a wonderful experience and special opportunity to enjoy the world at a much slower pace.

Sorry for the lack of pictures, but you get the idea…
