Head fakes
Day 3 started out wonderfully! I had a good sleep in the hostel, even with 7 other people in the room being human. The sun is shining and I have been given the privilege of walking the Camino.
The first 2 days I found breakfast options right away, but not today. When I reach what I think is the summit, nope it isn’t. God is playing with me and reminding me that I will not out guess His plans. Like my trips to China, it seldom goes as I had expected. So, I walk and listen…
My morning walk was with Grace, a veterinarian from
California. She is walking the Camino with her
brother. The conversations got around to ChatGPT and how I think it
will change her business. It is interesting that ChatGPT and AI seem
to be the top topics so far for discussion. Not what I expected.
About halfway on the walk I found my breakfast stop and bade
farewell to Grace. The food was fantastic and soon my 2 Irish sisters
came down the path! Once again, I enjoyed their company and humor
for the afternoon walk. We went our separate ways and then met up again
for dinner. Molly has about the same job as my sister, although she claims
they are years behind in their tools. She would like me to bring Cath
next year to walk some of the Camino. (They will be leaving Spain this
Friday.)
For experienced travelers, you probably remember receiving stamps in your passport as you crossed international borders. Well, that is part of the fun of the Camino. Most
hotels, churches, restaurants and information centers have stamps for
Pilgrims. You need to collect at least 2 each day to prove that you
walked the Camino. I am having fun collecting stamps.

Sound good to me!
ReplyDeleteTim, Great job. You are making great progress. It’s still a little early to run with the bulls, but maybe another time :). I can see the signage has improved. I want to see pictures of you with the iron figures of Pilgrims on top of a hill coming up. I’m fascinated that the topics of the day are ChatGPT and AI. Thanks for sharing. Buen Camino. Al
ReplyDeleteWe are following your antics with interest! Arun has stamp envy but has also neen heard to say, "but not for 15 miles a day!"😁
