Abide in Me…

My departure day had the perfect start. Beautiful weather for my last training walk, with Starbucks as my destination. I was all checked in on my preferred flight to London - British Airways 48 - direct to London Heathrow.

Enjoying my iced coffee on a perfect morning in Seattle, I also enjoyed a chat with Ray Brook on his memorial bench.  He reminded me that God was with me and that God had a plan for my adventure.  Trust in the Lord…

I enjoyed a lovely Mother’s Day service with Cindy and sharing about my recent trip to Japan during our International Students' lunch.  All is good as I waited to head to the airport.  Three hours and counting...

Then I received the phone ping and the dreaded “your flight has been cancelled" message.  So now God’s plan to “abide in me” comes to mind.  This is going to be an adventure of the unknown, so why not start the trip with a good change of travel plans?

Now I am thankful to be rebooked on the American flight to London, with the hope that I can make my connection to Barcelona.  Dave is a good travel companion as he is always smiling. This will be a good reminder that I am not in control.

Hopefully my next post will be from Europe and closer to the start of my walk.
